Astronomy and Photography Classes
Back to school with the CAS!

The CAS offers classes on astronomy to give you a quick path to enjoying the hobby.

Astronomy 101 classes get you up to speed on the basics. Things like reading star charts, setting up your telescope, and how to use your telescope are discussed along with interesting things to look at in the sky. This class is for beginners and those returning to the hobby after allowing a few cobwebs to settle on a telescope.

The introduction to imaging class teaches the art of photography as applied to astronomical objects. This course covers all types of cameras, introduces image processing and gives you tips and tricks to get superb images through your telescope with your camera. Three - two hour long - classes plus a follow up Q&A class typically held on four consecutive Saturday mornings.
